PWG was founded in 1985 as startup by the brothers Armin, Guntram and Hans Wiblishauser. From the beginning their business idea was coating of nonwovens for the veneer processing industry.

The story began in the old buildings of the former family-owned furniture factory in the bavarian village Walkertshofen. However, it was a very difficult start. Main problems were a still undeveloped niche market as well as the difficult procurement of raw materials.

A strong market growth in the 1990’s and 2000’s lead to a continuous extension of production facilities. And due to a variety of product developments additional product applications and therefore new markets were found.

In the first years of business all material was supplied to veneer edgebanding industry. In the meantime the circle of customers is the complete veneer processing industry as well as automotive suppliers specialized on decorative parts.

Nowadays PWG is supplying customers on all continents as worldwide market leader. Besides the traditionally-dominating european market most supplies are going to North America and Asia.

PWG is still family-owned and lead with a long-termed business strategy. All production facilities are still at the original site in Walkertshofen, on an area of more than 4.000 m². Heart of production are two coating lines as well as a range of high performance cutting machines.
